Devi Dol Situated in Sivasagar district of the Indian state of Assam, Devi Dol is a temple that was constructed centuries ago to worship Goddess Durga. On the occasion of Durga puja, the monument is crowded by people flocking from every part of the country. Shiva Dol borders Devi Dol from one side and Vishnu Dol from the other side. The height of the temple is 60 feet, whereas, the base stands at a diameter of 120 feet. The most sanctified area of the temple is bolisthal which is restricted only for worshipping Goddess Kali and Durga. Apart from the Devi Dol, one can also visit a small Shani temple which is located in close proximity. Devotees are in abundance at this temple on Saturdays. Devi Dol is also surrounded by a temple of Ram and Hanuman. In addition to these, the Devi Dol has been constructed in a vertical elevation design and also has a rising and falling pattern.
