Itinerary
Day 1 : Guwahati - Shillong
On Arrival Guwahati Airport /Railway station then proceed to Shillong en route visit Umium lake, Don bosco museum, Ward lake, Shillong pick, Shillong view point. Overnight at Shillong.
Day 2 : Shillong - Cherapunjee
After breakfast, travel to Cherapunjee, on the way visit Shillong Peak (to have a picturesque view of the entire city), Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls,Elephant Falls , Mawsumi cave, Later enjoy the beautiful evening at the hotel/ resort. Overnight at Cherapunjee.
Day 3 : Cherrapunjee - Mawlynnong-Dawki-Shillong
After breakfast, come back to Cherrapunjee. After that drive to Mawlynnong, A picturesque village located in East Khasi Hills along the India Bangladesh border, Declared as the cleanest village in Asia by Discover India magazine in 2003, Later go for a short trek in the village and see the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. You can visit Balancing Rock, Sky Walk, Bangladesh View point and the longest Living Root bridge. Overnight at a homestays at Mawylnnong.
Day 4 : Shillong - Jowi - Shillong
After early breakfast start full day excursion to Jowai, headquarters of the Jaintia Hills district is situated 66 kms away from Shillong, along the Shillong-Silchar national highway. A picturesque town circled by the majestic Myntdu River. Jowai was the summer capital of the Jaintia Kings, of Sutnga State. You will visit India's most magical waterfall - Krang Suri, Meghalaya. A moment of silence to acknowledge how beautiful this waterfall is! Later drive to Tryshi Waterfalls, A bridge connects the waterfall's surroundings with an expanse of green paddy fields. A breathtaking panoramic view of the Pynthor Nein is visible from the bridge. Next you will stop at Thadlaskein Lake where you can enjoy boating. Afternoon proceed to The Nartiang menhir measure 27 feet in height above the ground, 6 feet in breadth and 2 feet 6 inches in thickness. The monoliths represent the megalithic culture of the Hynniewtrep people. A 500 Years old temple of Durga is another attraction at Nartiang. Evening back to Shillong. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 5 : Shillong - Guwahati
Shillong half Day sightseeing then proceed to Guwati Airport Drop.
